Wedding Highlights Film :: Bridgette + Paul :: “Humor in the Bad, Appreciation in the Good” :: Hartsville, SC

We absolutely loved these two.  Throughout the day, they kept making us laugh and smile and you can tell just by watching their highlights film just how much they enjoyed their day together.

We started with Bridgette and Paul the night before their wedding at their rehearsal dinner.  They invited us down to capture the speeches at their dinner and we are so glad they did.  It gave everyone a chance to talk about their love for Bridgette and Paul and played perfectly as the ground layer for their highlights film.

During their wedding day, we had the chance to get to know Paul and Bridgette and all of their friends and family and we loved the time we got to spend with them.  Despite the crazy weather all day, Bridgette and Paul didn’t let it get them down.  All day, they both had a smile plastered across their face and just let the emotion of the day sink in.

It was such a great day and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.  Bridgette and Paul, we hope you enjoy reliving your day as much as we did and thank you again for inviting us to be a part of your day.

Wedding Film :: Kelsey + Jason :: “So Easy & So Cool” :: Charleston, SC

All day, it was cloudy…. But the rain held off…. Until the worst possible moment…..

Everyone kept talking about how it looked like it was going to rain, but throughout the day, it all managed to stay away, which was great, because it allowed us to capture prep footage with Kelsey and Jason, Photos with the wedding party, and even an epic first look in downtown Charleston.

Everything was set up for the ceremony and all was going well.  Sure, people were preparing for the rain and it had sprinkled a little bit here and there, but we’d been lucky so far, so no worries.  Then it happened.  As everyone was lining up for the processional, it started to rain a little bit. No problem.  But then, by the time Kelsey and her father walked down the aisle, it had turned into a full-bore, no-mercy kind of rain.   The wedding coordinators sprang into action and started handing out umbrellas, and while most couples would have freaked out, I never saw Kelsey and Jason’s attitude damper. The whole time, they kept smiling and kept going.  The rain didn’t matter.  The officiant kept going, even making light of the situation, the guests kept smiling and Kelsey and Jason couldn’t be happier to be standing there with each other.  In fact, it even worked out perfectly for one of the lines in their vows, as you’ll see in the video. You really couldn’t have written a better line for Kelsey to say in that moment and everybody else even found the humor in the irony. Just watching this couple and seeing the way they looked at each other during their vows, despite the craziness going on was truly awesome.  As unexpected as the rain was, it really couldn’t have worked out in a more perfect way.

Of course, it stopped raining almost immediately as they began their recessional, because that’s how things work out sometimes 🙂 But it paved the way for an amazing night for their reception.  Between the toasts and the dancing, it was one heck of a celebration for these two and we are so glad we were able to be a part of telling their story.

Kelsey and Jason, thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of your wedding day.  Looking back on it has been such a joy and i hope the two of you enjoy reliving that day for years to come.

Wedding Highlights Film :: Calli + Taylor :: “Passing the Edisto Test” :: Edisto Island, SC

As a father to four boys, I don’t think I’ll ever fully understand the father/daughter dynamic.  I’ve seen it hundreds of times while filming weddings, and t’s one of those beautiful things that I never get tired of seeing.  Some dads are nervous and quiet, some cry, some don’t show any emotion at all… But it’s something that we always try to capture since it’s such an important part of the day.  Calli’s dad did it right.  During his speech, he held it together most of the time… Until it came time to talk to Calli.  The minute we heard his speech at the reception, we knew we wanted to build their wedding film around his words.  Not only did he give an amazing tribute to his daughter, but he welcomed Taylor into the family with open arms and made sure Taylor knew how much he appreciated the love he has shown for his daughter since the time they met.

It was the perfect way to cap off an already amazing wedding day.  From the prep and beautiful scenery at Cassina Point Plantation to the wedding ceremony at Edisto Island Presbyterian Church, it was an absolutely perfect day for Calli and Taylor…. although a little hot for October!  Edisto Island has a huge history with Calli’s family, which you’ll soon see in the video, so it means even more that they were able to share the experience with all of their friends and family on their wedding day in one of their favorite places that holds such an important place in their family history.

Calli and Taylor, thank you so much for letting us be a part of telling your story.  We had so much fun at your wedding and we hope you enjoy re-living this beautiful day for many years to come.

Wedding Highlights Film :: Megan + Colton :: “My Hand, My Heart, and My Love” :: Charleston, SC

This wedding might have been a LITTLE emotional 🙂

The thing we love most about weddings is that our films are literally a blank canvas when we start filming and we are able to let the couples and their friends and family guide us in the direction the film needs to go.  Sometimes you laugh, sometimes you cry.. It all just depends on the day.  For Megan and Colton… We definitely had a clear vision on where we needed to go with this film.

From Megan and Colton’s vows to each other to the speeches given by their friends and family, everyone, and I mean everyone was in tears at some point throughout the day.  Megan and Colton have a truly amazing story and have been through so much and having them tell their story during their ceremony was absolutely beautiful.

It didn’t stop there though.  Their friends and family absolutely nailed their toasts and told such poignant stories about Colton and Megan and their relationship.  It really made for a moving and emotional day for everyone from start to finish.  After their toasts and dinner, they spent the rest of the evening celebrating with their friends and family at Boone Hall Plantation before making their exit into the night.

Megan and Colton, thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of your wedding day.  You had such and amazing story, filled with so much emotion and we appreciate you inviting us to capture the memories.

Wedding Highlights Film :: Spencer + Kristen :: ” Most Certain Thing I’ve Ever Known” :: Asheville, NC

Kristen and Spencer were married at the Biltmore Forest Country Club in Asheville, NC.  It was a fantastic wedding celebration with Spencer and Kristen surrounded by their friends and family.

Before their ceremony, Kristen and Spencer decided to do a first look, which meant we were able to capture some great photos of the two of them together before the ceremony.  We decided to drive up the Blue Ridge Parkway to get some photos and video of the two of them and that led to a very memorable encounter with a baby bear when he decide to wonder out of the woods, just feet away from where we were filming Kristen and Spencer.  Definitely not something you see every day!  After that, we headed back to Biltmore Forest Country Club for their ceremony.

One of our favorite parts of Kristen and Spencer’s wedding was their vows.  They wrote their own vows to share with one another and each of them had their own unique approach to telling their story.  It was a nice blend of laughter and serious, sentimental moments that made for some really awesome dialog for us to use in their film.  Combine that with the toasts their friends and family gave at the reception and you have some really memorable speeches about their life and love for each other. It all just came together perfectly to make for one amazing day for the two of them.

Kristen and Spencer, thank you so much for inviting us to be a part of your wedding day.  We had so much fun being with you and your friends and family and we couldn’t be happier to be a part of sharing your story.

Wedding Highlights Film :: Danielle + Jacob :: “Always Remember to Love and Laugh” :: Greenville, SC

You really couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day for this couple.  The weather was perfect, the setting was beautiful, the guests were awesome… From start to finish, it was the most ideal day any bride could have ever hoped for.

Danielle and Jacob were married in the Larkin’s courtyard in downtown Greenville and it was quite the ceremony.  Danielle Baker always does a terrific job as officiant in making every ceremony personal and feel special and this time was no different.  As she read their letters to each other that they had written beforehand, there was a complete mixture of laughter and tears in the crowd.  It was a perfect testimony to the type of relationship Danielle and Jacob have.  You could see it even more during their reception when their friends and family got up to deliver their speeches. As everyone told their stories about Danielle and Jacob and how they were impacted by their relationship, it gave you a unique glimpse into the type of people they are and the love they have for each other.

They finished the day off with Steel Toe Stiletto bringing the house down at the reception.  It was a tremendous celebration with all of their friends and family and a great way to end their wedding day.

We are so thankful that we got to be a part of sharing this amazing story with everyone.  Such a great group of people and we hope you enjoy reliving the day as much as we have!

Wedding Highlights Film :: Mika + Emily :: “The Best Ride Ever” :: Magnolia Plantation :: Charleston, SC

Man, we loved this wedding.  It literally had it all.  From the beautiful church location to the epic reception at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens, it couldn’t have been a more perfect setting. As if that wasn’t enough, Mika and Emily were surrounded by their friends and family at the reception, and there, they were treated to some very emotional speeches given by those that know and love them the most.

As we were sitting there filming all of the speeches, we looked around the room multiple times and noticed there were very few dry eyes in the room.  It’s such a great testament to their relationship and the love they have for each other when you hear so many people getting up and telling story after story about them and their relationship. It was really amazing and I’m so glad we were there to capture them so we could feature some of those speeches in their highlights film.

Emily and Mika were such a special couple and we had so much fun hanging out with them and their friends and family all day. From the time we arrived to film their prep until the time we left, we didn’t stop smiling… and as you can see in the highlights film, we weren’t the only ones!

Emily and Mika, thank you again for inviting us to capture your day.  We had such a great time and hope you enjoy reliving the day through your highlights film.
